Equipment

  • Knife and cutting board
  • Small bowl
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped fresh Italian flat-leaf parsley
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tbsp chopped fresh oregano, or 1 tsp dried
  • ½ shallot, minced finely (about 2 tbsp)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced finely
  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and thoroughly dry all the herbs. Chop them finely. Mix with all other ingredients and season with salt and pepper to taste. (You can also place all ingredients in the food processor and pulse until finely chopped)
