What can I do if my marshmallows don’t melt properly?

  • There are two main reasons why your marshmallows didn’t melt properly.
Oven temperature. If you forget to turn the oven to the broil setting, they won’t melt in 30 seconds or in 1 minute as the instructions say. If you want to melt marshmallows at 350ºF, it may take 2-3 minutes. Don’t let them burn!
  • Low-quality marshmallows.

How do I toast pecans?

It’s easy to toast pecans. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spread the pecans evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes, tossing halfway. They’re ready when they are fragrant and start to brown.

I like to use toasted pecans because they have a richer flavor and a crunchier texture.

How do I know when the brownie pie is done?

When the fudgy brownie pie is ready you can see that the edges slightly pull away from the sides of the pan. You can also insert a toothpick into the center of the pie, if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, it’s done.
