Ingredients

For the meatloaf:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 box Stovetop Stuffing
  • 1 cup water

For the glaze:

  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Combine the ground beef, egg, stuffing, and water in a large bowl. Using your hands or a spatula, mix all ingredients until fully combined.
  • Shape the meat mixture into a log and place in a greased baking dish.
  • Make the glaze: whisk the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powders in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Using a silicone brush or a spoon, brush the loaf with the glaze until fully covered on all sides.
  • Make a foil tent over the meatloaf and bake for 30 mins.
  • Remove the foil and bake for 30 minutes more.

Notes

  1. Do not overmix the meat mixture or your meatloaf will turn out tough. Use your hands and mix just until combined.
  2. Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting it so it doesn’t fall apart.
  3. If you don’t use all the glaze when brushing the meatloaf, use it to brush the meatloaf 5 minutes before the cook time is over.
